"I had always been moderately active, but with kids and a full-time job, I just wasn't able to prioritize my own workouts. It was time to rebuild, and I'm grateful I found Leslie. She put me at ease, and then she put me to work. I won't lie, it's hard. But I've come to love how strong I'm feeling. And I'm watching my muscles take shape before my eyes. I'm hooked!"
Struggling to find a trainer that understands how to safely and effectively work with a cranky joint, a larger body, or chronic condition?
Difficulty getting restarted, and need someone to keep you accountable and help you get back to where you were (and beyond)?
Frustrated with your lack of progress, and feel like you're doing the same few exercises over and over?
Intimidated by all the fancy gym equipment and don't know how to use it?
Self-conscious about training in a public gym? Like everyone is watching you and judging you?
Worried that it's too late to make a significant change in your fitness and overall well-being, or that you've totally missed your chance?
If any of these sound like you, you’re in the right place.

I get it. You want to get stronger, move better, feel confident, and know that you're making real progress in a safe and meaningful way. You want a trainer that understands your goals, your challenges, your body.
Hi, I’m Leslie,
and I help women in their 40s, 50s, and beyond build physical strength that cascades into other areas of life
As someone who really dove into fitness in midlife, I've taught fitness classes to all ages and abilities. Learning to keep 40-50 people safe in a group fitness class while lifting weights required an eagle eye and effective, encouraging communication.
When became a personal trainer, I applied my teaching style, which I describe as "nurturing drill sergeant". I'll help you do things correctly, and gently push you enough to help you achieve your goals. We'll high five or we'll throw some snark - whatever works to motivate you!
I've worked with women in their 30's, in their 80's, and everything in between. Building strength is essential at every stage of life, whether you want to run a faster 5K, or simply continue living independently.
By tailoring your training to your unique needs and concerns, I'll help you build strength, flexibility, and confidence in your body's abilities. In other words, it's not just about exercise — it's about creating a lifestyle that supports your well-being and brings joy into movement.
Just imagine if...
You woke up each morning feeling rejuvenated, with more energy to enjoy your day and the activities you love, free from the constraints of past injuries or chronic discomfort.
You looked in the mirror and saw visible improvements in your strength and flexibility, knowing each step in your fitness journey was tailored specifically to your body's needs.
You reclaimed joy in movement, discovering new activities and exercises that excite you, proving that age is just a number when it comes to living a healthy, fulfilling life.
"I'm taking GLP medication to help me lose weight, and I want to minimize the muscle loss which is so common on these medications. This is an extra challenge with a bum ankle, and a general distaste for exercise. Leslie has helped me build a foundation of strength, an appreciation for what my body can do, and I'm now lifting more than I ever thought I could!"
"Leslie is a fantastic trainer - she listens well, creates workouts unique to you that are fun, and also knows how to push you each workout while helping you to ensure proper form. Her decades of experience as a trainer are evident and shine through in her coaching."
"My husband and I have been training with Leslie for the last 3+ years. Her consistency and work ethic are exemplary. She has been pushing us just a bit more every time, so that we're progressively seeing results. However, she also knows how to make the workouts fun so that we're never dreading the workouts! She's also hyper focused on injury prevention, which is critical, IMO."
Assessment
The goal is to learn your movement patterns, and any compensatory motions and range limitations. General strength, power, and flexibility assessments start here and continue throughout the relationship.

If you are new or returning to exercise, we will first build foundational (core) strength as we learn and/or correct movement patterns. This could last a few weeks, or a few months, based upon your needs.
Power Development
With a solid foundation, we will create a fun and challenging program that will have you looking, feeling, and performing your best. Progressive resistance will grow your lean muscle mass and I'll be cheering and high-fiving you along the way!
